Situated in the east of the Island and within an area of high landscape value, this project involved the replacement of a near-derelict agricultural barn with a modern steel building designed to sit harmoniously within its rural surroundings.

GRQ was involved throughout every stage of this project, providing the support and technical information required to secure planning approval before overseeing the wider delivery programme. This included the demolition of the existing structure, completion of the groundworks, installation of the foundation raft slab and the supply and erection of the replacement building. Construction was delivered in collaboration with our approved partners EG Services, who carried out the site preparation, groundworks and erection of the steel structure.

The completed barn comprises a 15m x 18m dual-pitch steel structure with a 4m eaves height, finished in Juniper Green non-insulated cladding. Designed to provide a practical and durable agricultural storage solution, the new facility offers significantly improved functionality while remaining sympathetic to the character of the surrounding landscape. The project was successfully delivered from concept through to completion, and the customer is delighted with the finished result.
