Our client approached us looking for a bespoke unit that would fit harmoniously into an existing and pre-defined space which was previously an old orchard. The unit had to be super insulated, energy efficient and secure as it would be used for high value classic and supercar vehicle storage.
The unit had to be designed and insulated to such a level that it would maintain an interior temperature above 4 degrees Celsius, even in the coldest of winters without the need for an additional heat source. The project had to be finished in 8 weeks and be ready to receive the client’s very special latest purchase!
Following project sign-off, work was carried out on designing the insulated and reinforced concrete raft on which the building would stand, paying particular attention to areas susceptible to thermal bridging.
The client opted for Part L compliant Kingspan cladding material for the building and in addition specified an insulated motorised roller shutter door to reduced heat loss even further.
The steel building kit and Kingspan material was delivered to site at the same time and required only 2 trailer loads, minimising any disruption to neighbours and the local community. Following delivery, the steel portal frame was erected in a just over a week by the client’s chosen local builder, without the need for specialist heavy lifting equipment and required very little support from the factory due to the quality of our General Arrangement Drawings and Erecting Guides.
Additional customisations included a secure personnel access door and a 3m x 2.5m motorised, insulated and plastisol-coated roller shutter door which will provide a maintenance-free, warm, dry and secure environment for the valuable vehicles which are to be stored within. The build was finished on time and on budget.

Client Testiminonal
Top quality product that looks great in situ. You were right to advise me that “you can never have enough insulation” when speccing these buildings for high-value supercars with dry, safe storage/temperatures. A1 product, A1 service, A1 advice.
